This months Pure Michigan business spot light is on The Rust Belt Market LLC, Ferndale Michigan. Located in bussling downtown Ferndale at the corner of 9 mile and Woodward, Rust Belt is filled to the brim with local artists and amazing wares. Along the 9 mile wall you will find Motor City Brick, Crawfords amazing mix of yesterdays Detroit and Todays Detroit will surely please you. Using ceramic tiles and bricks from old Detroit buildings he hand paints amazing logos from old Detroit favorites as well as recreates todays grafitti. You can choose either framed or unframed and any of his pieces would look great in your home or office. Sharing a spot with Motor City Brick is Hudson Industrial Furnishings, again the mix of yesterday and today will inspire you. You can choose one of his hand made tables with upcycled wooden tops from iconic comapies like Faygo or Vernors or choose something a bit more modern like a wood shelf with lead pipe framing, either way whatever you choose will please a room full of people. Dwon the way a bit is Mamma Made That and Ori-kami organics, these hand made items for both adults and children are amazing in quality and appearance, the perfect gift for a friend or new mother. Around the corner you will find Painted Lady Trashions, wow, is all I can say about her. Here you will find every oddity you ever imagined, every thing from a embalming table from Detroit casket company to old removed teeth and just about every vintage surgery instrument you can find, sure to be a perfect place to find the perfect gift for that odd collector in your life, keep heading down the aisle and you will find Bath Savy, their mix of hand made soaps, lip balm, creams, lotions and bath bombs are our favorite in Rust Belt, the scents last through the entire use and never fade, why buy one when you can buy 3 for $20? And if you are lucky you will get to see Marley, the dog mascot. Don't forget to stop by HEX Detroit, centered closer to the middle area, HEX has recently expanded their products from just amazing items made from Hex and Bolts to new leather bags, belts and accessories, anything you find here will surely please.
